BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Three Bellingham residents are among six people indicted by a federal grand jury for trafficking fentanyl in Whatcom County.

Daniel John Faix of Bellingham and two Seattle men are in custody on drug trafficking and firearms charges.

Bellingham residents Matthew Anderson and Natasha Parkhill and a Burien man are also indicted but remain on the loose.

The US Attorney in Seattle says state charges are expected against seven more people in connection with the ring.

Faix has been arrested on drug distribution charges several times since 2020 in Whatcom County.

The investigation into the ring began in 2022 and found that the suspects were actively transporting fentanyl to Bellingham from the Seattle area.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office Drug and Gang Unit teamed with the DEA for the investigation.
