BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Two assistant principals are back in their positions at Squalicum High School as a criminal case against them continues.
Principal Laurel Peak said in a newsletter to parents on Friday, August 18th, that Jeremy Louzao and Meghan Dunham returned to their roles over the summer.
Louzao, Dunham, and former Bellingham High School assistant principal Maude Hackney were all reassigned to the district office late last year after being accused of failing to report a student’s sexual assault.
All three pleaded not guilty to gross misdemeanor charges of failing to report the assault to police or protective services.
Their jury trial is scheduled to begin next Monday, with a pre-trial hearing this Friday, August 25th.
