MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – Two people were taken to Harborview Medical Center following a shooting in Mount Vernon.
Police say that the victims, along with two others, were all in a vehicle around 10 p.m. on Monday night, March 13th.
The driver was backing out of a driveway on Urban Avenue when two men in dark clothing attempted to get inside the car.
Both began shooting into the car, which ended up in a ditch.
The suspects fled on foot and K-9s were unable to track them.
A 32-year-old woman from Mount Vernon and a 26-year-old Skagit County man were both shot and transported to Harborview.
The other two people in the car were not hurt.
