LYNDEN, Wash. – Frequent travelers through Lynden will need to consider detours on their commute in the near future.

WSDOT will be closing the Guide from Front to Main Streets starting on Monday, September 18th at 7 p.m.

The road is not expected to reopen until the evening of September 21st.

Crews will be replacing a barrier in that area with a box culvert, opening up about six miles of habitat for native fish.

Detours will reroute drivers on Main Street and Birch Bay Lynden Road.
