OLYMPIA, Wash. – There is a new program to help out Washington’s Veterans.
The state Department of Veterans Affairs is partnering with the Commerce Department to implement a new digital navigator.
The WDVA Digital Navigator Program will provide Veterans or their families with tools and digital literacy training that will help them connect to earned benefits such as disability compensation, healthcare, and other services.
The tools will include a kit containing talk, text, and data through T-Mobile, a laptop, and a smartphone with a hotspot.
Veterans in rural areas, older Veterans, Veterans of color, and homeless Veterans will be the primary focus of the new program.
Veterans and active-duty service members in households at or below 200% of the federal poverty level are eligible.
To see if you’re eligible, go to the Veterans Affairs website.
