BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Washington state residents can now access reproductive care through telehealth.
The state Department of Health has launched a website and tool to direct people to clinics that offer remote reproductive services.
They include birth control refills, pregnancy options counseling, emergency contraceptives, and screenings for sexually transmitted infections.
HIV-related treatment and prevention and gender affirming care are also available through some clinics.
The department says it is a response to shortages of primary care providers and can especially be helpful for rural residents.
