BELLINGHAM, WA – A local coalition is looking for architectural minds to help them design new housing units throughout Whatcom County.

The Whatcom Housing Alliance is accepting entries for their Accessory Dwelling Unit Design Competition now through October 3.

Accessory Dwelling Units, or ADUs, are residential units on the same lot as an existing single-family home.

WHA is looking for ADU ideas in dense urban areas that are accessible for all ages and physical abilities.

Winners will receive cash prizes and will have their designs featured on the WHA website.
