BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan Counties are included in wind and coastal flood advisories that are now in effect.
The National Weather Service says winds of 25-35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.
The wind advisory is in effect until Thursday, February 23rd, and the coastal flood advisory is in effect until Tuesday, February 21st at 10 a.m.
And a winter storm warning is in effect for the North Cascades.
The National Weather Service says the snow level will fall to 2,000 feet on Tuesday, February 21st.
As much as two feet of new snow is expected through the day, with strong winds up to 45 miles per hour.
Travelers on the Mount Baker Highway should expect snowfall from Maple Falls to the Mount Baker Ski Area.
