NEWHALEM, WA. – (KGMI.com) Heavy snow could make its way to the North Cascades later this week.
The National Weather Service in Seattle says that a winter storm watch is expected to take effect starting Tuesday afternoon, October 24th.
Up to 15 inches of snow could fall in the North Cascades through Wednesday.
Slick roads could also make driving difficult in areas of eastern Whatcom County, such as Maple Falls and Newhalem.
Eastern Skagit County is also expected to see snowfall through Wednesday afternoon.
