SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WA. – (KGMI.com) A woman was killed and four others were injured in a crash in Skagit County.
The Washington State Patrol reports that a car heading south on Highway 9 in Sedro-Woolley crashed into another vehicle head-on Wednesday afternoon, November 22nd.
The force of the crash sent the second car off the road and down an embankment.
A passenger in that vehicle, identified as 35-year-old Sharon Lane, was pronounced dead at the scene.
KIRO reports that the occupants of the first car had been involved in a domestic violence incident and had struck a Sedro-Woolley police car moments before the fatal crash.
Both drivers were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Two more passengers were taken to Skagit Valley Hospital.
