OAK HARBOR, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An accident involving three vehicles north of Oak Harbor left a motorcycle rider dead on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 13.
The Washington State Patrol says two cars were heading south on Monkey Hill Road when the first car failed to yield making a left turn.
A motorcycle rider heading northbound was forced to swerve into the oncoming lane to avoid a collision but ended up hitting the second southbound car.
The 58-year-old male rider was transported to Whidbey Health where he passed away.
The driver of the second car and a seven-month-old who was restrained in a car seat were not injured.
WSP says drugs or alcohol were not involved in the accident.
