WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Some roads in our region remain closed due to rising waters.

Whatcom County Public Works says that Hannegan Road is closed between Lynden city limits and Polinder Road as of this afternoon.

Floodgates remain closed at Slater Road, Ferndale Road and Marine Drive.

Drivers are advised to turn around if they encounter any road closures due to flooding.

Anyone who comes across a “Water Over Roadway” sign should slow down and proceed with caution.
