BELLEVUE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A regional seafood franchise is mourning the loss of its creator.
Anthony’s Restaurants announced on Tuesday, July 8, that their founder Budd Gould has passed away.
Gould founded the company in 1973 under its original name “Mad Anthony’s” as a colonial-themed prime rib house that reflected his love of American history.
After a minor name change and scrapping the decor, he developed the restaurant into a series of waterfront locations across the Pacific Northwest.
The Bellevue-based business praised Gould’s passion and heart, citing his ability to give people the opportunity to learn, grow, lead and succeed.
Anthony’s now has more than two dozen locations and sister restaurants across Washington, including two on Squalicum Harbor in Bellingham and one in Anacortes.
