BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – This summer, the Bellingham Bells are planning to host an action-packed two-day event at Joe Martin Field.
The Bellingham Bells announced Wednesday that they will host this year’s West Coast League All -Star Game.
The two-day event will take place July 16 and 17 to showcase the best of the best across all 16 WCL teams. It will include a community adaptive baseball game, a player pro-style workout featuring MLB scouts and a skills challenge featuring some of the All-Stars. The game itself will be played on July 17 at Joe Martin Field.
“These will be players that you will see on minor and major league rosters in three to five years after this All-Star Game,” said Bells general manager Stephanie Morrell.
The West Coast League is made up of college players from across the country with no shortage of notable alumni, including 2020 American League Cy Young Winner Shane Bieber. The Bells last hosted a WCL All-Star game in 2015, but Morrell says this year’s will offer an enhanced experience.
“We’re really pushing to make this a different tier of event,” Morrell said. “This is our signature event for this summer, and this is our signature event for probably this decade.”
Tickets for the game go on sale starting April 1, you can find a link to buy those on the Bell’s website. It will also be broadcast live on MLB.com.
