BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Another member of a prolific drug trafficking operation in Whatcom County has been sentenced.

US Attorney for Western Washington Tessa Gorman says that 42-year-old Adam Wisniewski of Bellingham will spend the next 8 years in prison.

Federal investigators witnessed Wisniewski meeting with the drug ring’s leader at the Silver Reef Casino in April 2022. A search following Wisniewski’s arrest recovered over a thousand fentanyl pills, fentanyl powder and a gun.

He was arrested again in August 2022 with more fentanyl pills and two more guns.

Wisniewski was the last of five people connected to the ring to be sentenced. Ringleader Enoc Martinez Lopez was also sentenced to 8 years behind bars. Drug distributor Casey Landis of Bellingham received a 7-year sentence. And distributor Jesse Witteveen was sentenced last week to 6 years in prison.
