BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A man is in custody after being accused of sexually assaulting multiple children.

Bellingham Police say that officers arrested the suspect, 48-year-old Douglas Smith, late Thursday night in Ferndale.

Smith is accused of engaging in inappropriate sexual relationships with a number of underage victims.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office notes that at the time of his arrest, Smith was with a minor.

Investigators believe that there are likely more victims and are encouraging them to come forward with any information.

BPD says that he goes by the name of “Dre” and has used social media accounts under the handles “nononcntz” and “midnightmoney.”
