BLAINE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a street sign thief in Blaine.

Blaine Police say multiple street signs have been stolen around Blaine and Birch Bay over the past few nights. The stolen markers include stop and pedestrian crosswalk signs.

The department says the missing signs aren’t just dangerous for traffic but also come at the expense of taxpayers since each stop sign costs roughly $250 to replace.

Police are asking anyone with information on the stolen signs or any potential suspects to call 9-1-1.
