BLAINE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Blaine School District is in the market for a new superintendent.
The current head of the district, Christopher Granger, has taken a job with the Sultan School District in Snohomish County.
Granger had served as the Blaine School District’s superintendent since fall 2019 and guided them through remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. He now leaves the district just as it was forced to tighten its budget once again.
The Northern Light reports the school board voted earlier this week to eliminate roughly 46 positions, among other cost-saving measures.
Granger officially starts as Sultan’s superintendent on July 1.
