BLAINE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Blaine schools are making a superintendent swap to bring in their next head of the district.
The district’s board of directors announced yesterday (Thurs) that it has selected Dan Chaplik as interim superintendent for the upcoming school year.
Chaplik has served as superintendent of the Sultan School District in Snohomomish County since 2007.
He was set to retire at the end of this school year, but instead opted to return to Blaine, where he began his career in education as an elementary school teacher.
Chaplik will take the place of outgoing Blaine super Christopher Granger, who KGMI previously reported is taking Chaplik’s old job in Sultan.
Granger officially begins his new role at Sultan on July 1.
