OLYMPIA, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The candidates for Washington governor will face off in two debates next month but a third forum will not happen as scheduled.
The Washington Debate Coalition announced the cancellation of their Oct. 11 event at Central Washington University after Democrat Bob Ferguson declined to take part.

Ferguson and Republican Dave Reichert have committed to a debate sponsored by the Seattle Times and KING 5 in Seattle on Sept. 10.
It will be broadcast live on KING 5, seattletimes.com and other online platforms right after the Presidential Debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
The gubernatorial candidates are also scheduled to take part in a debate in Spokane on Sept. 18 hosted by the Association of Washington Business.
The Debate Coalition says debates between candidates for Attorney General and Superintendent of Public Instruction will still be held as scheduled on Oct. 11.
