Update 8:20 p.m.: Police at the scene say that there were no obvious signs of foul play. BPD is continuing their investigation. There is no known threat to the community at this time. No more information will be released by the university until Friday, Oct. 23.

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A person was found dead in the Sehome Hill Arboretum Thursday evening, Oct. 22.

An alert sent by Western Washington University says hikers found the person deceased just after 6 p.m. A tent and personal items were also at the site.

University Police, Bellingham Police and medical personnel responded to the scene.
