BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – It’s almost time to start the festivities for Earth Week in Bellingham.
The city is hosting a full week of all-ages events surrounding Earth Day this Monday.
The celebration kicks off Thursday with a series of forums at the Bellingham Public Library discussing the future of sustainability.
Saturday features a community work party to remove invasive plants along Squalicum Creek and a recycling drop-off event. Residents who participate in either of Saturday’s events will receive a free tree as part of the city’s Community Tree Programs.
Other events over the next week include Earth-themed children’s story times at the Bellingham Library, crafts at the Whatcom Museum and a wildlife photography exhibit from National Geographic.
