FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An uptick in roadside scammers has Ferndale Police asking residents to stay vigilant.

Ferndale Police Department (FPD) says that they’ve received numerous reports of people claiming to be in need of money to get them out of a difficult situation.

They then offer fake gold jewelry for people to purchase and have gotten aggressive in some cases when people refuse to buy.

FPD is urging people not to engage with these individuals or purchase any jewelry from them. Instead, they’re asking folks to leave the area and call 911.
