BELLIGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Don’t get too used to the relatively cooler weather we’ve been seeing these past few days.

The National Weather Service in Seattle is calling for a heat wave to hit north Whatcom County later this week.

Lynden and Everson are both forecast to hit 90 degrees on Thursday, Aug. 8 before cooling down to the mid-80’s this weekend.

Bellingham, Blaine and Ferndale won’t get quite that hot, but they are expected to reach the low-to-mid-80’s starting Wednesday, Aug. 7 and continuing into the weekend.
