BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A man was hospitalized after being found severely injured in Bellingham and police are trying to determine how he was hurt.

Police spokesperson Megan Peters said a 911 call led officers to an encampment in woods near Northwest and Bakerview Friday at about 9 a.m.

They found the 31-year-old man with a life-threatening head injury, and he was transported to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.

Witnesses have been uncooperative as investigators try to determine how the man was hurt. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Bellingham Police.
