VAN ZANDT, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Two people were hospitalized after a car slammed into a Van Zandt home.

The Washington State Patrol says that the car was heading north on State Route 9 on Saturday evening, June 8 when it veered off the road just south of Potter Road.

The driver, identified as a 27-year-old Deming woman, and her 23-year-old male passenger were both transported to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham.

Troopers say that the case is being investigated as a DUI crash.
