MARYSVILLE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Washington State Patrol will hold a memorial service for fallen Trooper Christopher Gadd Tuesday.

A law enforcement procession will depart from the Tulalip Casino at 11 a.m. and travel to the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett. The arena doors will open to the public at noon, and the ceremony will begin at 1 p.m.

Trooper Gadd was killed early March 2 when a driver rammed his patrol vehicle while it was parked along I-5 near Marysville. He was 27 and leaves behind his wife and two-year-old daughter.

The State Patrol says he is the 33rd trooper to die in the line of duty in the agency’s 103 years of serving Washington.
