WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A burn ban for a portion of Whatcom County has been lifted.

The Northwest Clean Air Agency has rescinded its stage 2 ban for the Columbia Valley region as of Monday, Jan. 5.

Monitoring website IQ Air reports excellent air quality in Maple Falls, Kendall, and Glacier.

Forecasters are warning residents in the area to be cautious in order to prevent another burn ban in the near future.
