WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Washington Parks and Recreation Commission has announced that it is raising camping and moorage fees in 2025.
The commission says the increase is needed to keep up with rising operating costs and inflation.
Standard campsite costs will increase by $3 to $5, partial utility campsites will increase by $5 to $6 and full-utility sites will increase by $6. Daily watercraft launching fees are rising to a flat rate of $7 and daily moorage charges will increase to $1 per foot.
The new camping rates are set to take effect on May 15, 2025, and the moorage fee changes will take effect on January 1, 2025.
Visitors looking to reserve a campsite for next year will want to do so soon, because the new fee rates will go into effect for reservations starting this Thursday (Aug. 15).
