BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Bellingham’s Cordata neighborhood is celebrating the opening of its newest park.
The City of Bellingham says the first phase of Northern Lights Park is now complete and open to the public.
It features a long, rectangular green space that’s built to fit between two blocks of the townhomes before the second phase extends it another block north. The park currently includes a bamboo play forest, rock climbing structures, benches and a dog waste station.
The park is located at 1350 Talus Way as part of the Aurora Court townhome development north of Costco. A ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5.
