After a long battle of multiple medical conditions, David Don Schuman passed away om March 26th, 2024. He was born in Seattle, WA on August 15th, 1930. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 2nd, 1950, and served his god faithfully for 74 years until his death. David married his wife, Beverly, in 1952 and they were married for 59 years. David owned Schuman Transmission/Bearings Inc. in Bellingham, WA for many years. He loved books and was an avid reader, collector and scholar of Greek and Hebrew. He loved to fish and Nimpo Lake, B.C. was his favorite place to go with friends and family.

David is survived by his daughters; Lynn Marie Schuman Dowd and Lesley Angela Schuman Thorgeirson (Barry) of Lynden, WA. Grandchildren; Melissa Bjorklund (Matts), Alex Casey (Erica), Sean Dowd, Melody Casey, Sydney Thorgeirson, Ian Thorgeirson and others. Great-Grandchildren; Nathan Oostra, Carmen Oostra, Jillian Casey and others; all who lovingly called him Dad-Dad.

He was preceded in death by parents; Nathan Schuman and Lilah (Meme) Marsell, Wife; Beverly, daughter; Lorraine June Lembcke and son in-law; Wayne Dowd
