David “Dave” Earl Moreau, 71, passed away surrounded by family on April 30, 2024, in Lynden, WA, after a brave battle with cancer. Dave was born September 12, 1952, in Bellingham, WA, to Arthur George and Audrey Thelma Moreau (Chiverall). He grew up and raised his family in Bellingham, WA. In his retirement, he spent many years living in Montana.

Spending time with loved ones was very important to Dave. He enjoyed the outdoors and often went fishing and hunting with his brothers. Dave inherited a joy for gardening and raising animals from his father and took pleasure in passing down this knowledge and skill to his children and grandchildren.

Dave was strong-willed and decisive with an enormous heart and a witty sense of humor. He had a strong work ethic and spent many years as a truck driver. Prior to that, he worked at Columbia Cement and had a business hanging gill net. He was full to the brim with knowledge he gained through many life experiences, including building the family home. If you needed advice or something fixed, he was the one to call for help.

Dave is survived by his children, Taunya (Tony) Clizbe, Tiffany Moreau, Shawna (James Young) Moreau, Schurie (John) Harrison, David (Sherri) Moreau, Brandon (Elektra) Moreau, Ryan (Sherron) Moreau, their mother, Brenda Moreau (Yerry), 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Arthur (Cindy) Moreau, Richard (Camille) Moreau, John Moreau, Gene (Vicki) Moreau, Gerry (Connie) Moreau, Delbert (Judy Dupont) Moreau, sister, Annette (Josh) Townsend and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Robert Moreau.

David will be greatly missed by his many relatives and friends.

A graveside service to honor David’s life will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, WA. A reception will follow for family and friends to gather to share memories at Cedar Star Ranch, 4462 Rural Ave, Bellingham, WA.
