BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The City of Bellingham has opened its emergency daytime weather shelter.
The shelter at 1013 W Holly St will remain open until 4 pm Wednesday.
Additional overnight shelters are also operating tonight across Bellingham, Ferndale, and the Lummi Nation.
Bellingham’s overnight severe weather shelter will be open through 8 am Friday for those who will continue to stay at their State St location.
Ferndale’s weather shelter at the United Church of Ferndale will have similar rules in effect, but will close during the day on Thursday.
Overnight guests will be welcomed back in at 5:30 pm.
The Lummi Nation’s Cold Weather Shelter is available for tribal members through 8 am on Friday.
Transportation is available on the reservation through Lummi Transit.
The shelters at Civic Field and Base Camp remain open through February for overnight guests.
