BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A longtime staple of the Fairhaven dining scene is back open for the first time in over two years.

Dirty Dan Harris Steakhouse reopened on Sunday, Jan. 4, after a fire at the Fairhaven Terminal Building forced it to close in December 2023.

The steakhouse is now under new ownership, with former general manager Steve Marandola stepping in to revive the business. Marandola had worked there for three years before the fire, starting as a server before moving up to bartender, bar manager and eventually GM.

The renovated restaurant includes a new private dining area called the “Phantom Room,” which can also be used for customers with sensory or respiratory issues.

Dirty Dan’s has been operating in downtown Fairhaven for nearly 50 years. It’s open Tuesday through Sunday from 5-9 pm.
