WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Dozens of power outages are being reported across Whatcom County following an earlier wind advisory.
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reports that their crews are working on restoring power to thousands of customers from Lummi Island to Glacier.
Most of the outages have been caused by branches and power lines that have fallen. The Marietta-Alderwood area lost power for several hours due to equipment failure.

The National Weather Service in Seattle reminds people not to touch or attempt to drive through downed power lines.
In addition, several roads are closed due to downed power lines. That includes Birch Bay Lynden Road from Blaine Road to Harborview, Harborview Road from Anderson to Birch Bay Drive, and Cedarville Road from the Mount Baker Highway to Goshen.
