BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Ferndale man convicted of raping a disabled adult has been sentenced.
Court documents state that 47-year-old Nathaniel Miller will spend over six and a half years behind bars, followed by a lifetime of community custody.
Miller worked at a group home for developmentally disabled adults in Bellingham. In 2023, a resident of the home witnessed him raping another resident. Miller pled guilty to second degree rape in September.
He was transferred to the Washington State Department of Corrections custody on Tuesday, Feb. 4 to begin his sentence.
