BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A former student who is not allowed at Squalicum High School caused security concerns at the school on Wednesday, June 12.
Squalicum and nearby Northern Heights Elementary were placed in Secure protocol for about 90 minutes in the morning when the former student appeared on the school’s soccer field.
The district says the former student did not show intent to harm.
Police and the former student’s family responded and the issue was resolved.
The former student returned to the school’s track in the early afternoon, prompting Squalicum to be placed back in Secure protocol for about 50 minutes.
Police and family were once again called and the person left with assistance.
All doors are locked and no one is allowed in or out when a school is in Secure protocol.
