WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – According to a local realtors, the median home price in Whatcom County has stabilized during the first three months of 2025.
Co-owner of The Muljat Group in Bellingham, Peter Ahn, says the median selling price in Whatcom County was $625,000. That’s a 3.4% decrease from the same quarter last year.
The median price in Bellingham was $770,000, down over 6% from a year ago.
Birch Bay, Blaine and Lynden also saw slight drops in the price of homes sold while Ferndale, Sudden Valley and the Nooksack Valley School District saw modest price increases.
The Mount Baker School District saw a price increase of over 17% but was still the most affordable area with a median price of $400,000. The number of homes sold county-wide increased slightly, with only Lynden and Birch Bay/Blaine showing a drop.
Ahn says relatively stable mortgage rates should help keep home prices mostly steady through the year.
