BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – HomesNOW! has found a new place for constructing more tiny homes.

In a Facebook video announcement, chairman Doug Gustafson showed the maintenance shed and parking lot that the nonprofit will use to construct a new round of tiny homes. The shed and parking lot belong to Whatcom Council on Aging’s new acquisition at 140 E Bellis Fair Pkwy.

Gustafson says that they will construct larger tiny homes to replace the older 8 feet by 8 feet home design at the staging area.

“We’re going to need your help to help build the tiny homes,” Gustafson said in the video. “We’re also going to need your help to volunteer if you have extra money lying around – I know a lot of you don’t. But, if people do, we could really use some donations to help build these things.”

HomesNOW! Not Later has created two other tiny home villages in Bellingham that were to be relocated to a property off Northwest Avenue before their permits expire.

The move to relocate the villages has been appealed by North Coast Credit Union, a neighbor of the Northwest Avenue property. The credit union says moving the villages will impact their business negatively.
