LYNDEN, WA – (MyBellinghamNow.com) Spring is here and that means it is time to sharpen your plows, folks.

The 82nd annual International Plowing Match is this Saturday, May 18 in Lynden. The event will showcase draft horses and the men and women who guide them. Two-horse teams will demonstrate traditional plowing methods and will be judged on various aspects like best crown, best finish, best in and out and best firmness and packing.

Food trucks JT’s Smokin BBQ and Sugar Shack Ice Cream will be on hand to serve up their tasty fare. It will all wrap up with an awards ceremony and a Hall of Fame presentation. The International Plowing match runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Berthusen Park.
