ACME, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Local investigators are on the hunt for a suspect who caused significant damage to a Whatcom County restaurant.

Acme Diner says that the suspect was seen lurking around their property starting at around 9:30 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, Dec. 25.

Just before 11 p.m., surveillance footage showed him cutting cables to the building’s power, Christmas lights, a satellite dish and a security camera. He attempted to enter the building through a crawl space and a side door but was unsuccessful.

The suspect, described as a white male, seriously damaged the side door, a cooler door and two PSE service panels before leaving.

His vehicle is described as a 2010-2012 silver manual Honda Civic.
