BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – AC Station 104.1 KAFE in Washington state hosted their 6th annual Christmas Wish promotion. Listeners submit wishes for either themselves, a loved one, or someone they deem most deserving, and the KAFE crew reviews and chooses out the ones that they feel will have the most impact on the life and wellness of the recipient.

For the 3rd year in a row, sponsor Boeing Employee Credit Union donated $5000 to facilitate wishes with Bellingham businesses Axton Automotive and Joostens Roofing combining to put another $2000 in the 2024 kitty.

From a water heater repair for a local veteran to ping pong tables for a local middle school, a total of $10,750 was also donated by local businesses who heard about Christmas Wish. This more than doubled the 2024 Wish budget and brings KAFE’s Christmas Wish six-year total to $87,990 in wishes granted.

Highlights from Christmas Wish include:

– $17,750 donated in goods and cash for 2024

– 319 wishes submitted, with 17 granted by KAFE 104.1 and local businesses

– Over $10,000 in goods and services donated by non-sponsor local businesses to more than double the starting budget
