BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Drivers should prepare for more construction delays on I-5 next week.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) says that shoulder work will cause some lane closures in the Bellingham area.

On Monday, April 28 the left lane will be shut down on the southbound side between Bakerview Road and Sunset Drive.

Tuesday’s work will have the left lane closed on southbound I-5 between Iowa Street and slightly past Samish Way.

The work flips to the northbound side on Wednesday, April 30 where crews will close the left lane at the Chuckanut Drive exit up through Iowa Street.

Crews will wrap up shoulder work on Thursday with a northbound left lane closure between Iowa Street and Bakerview Road.

The closures are expected to take place between 1 a.m. and 12 p.m. on all four days.
