WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Summer weather is not going away from the Pacific Northwest as officials are predicting another heat wave for later this week.
The National Weather Service in Seattle says that warm temps are expected from Wednesday, Sept. 4 through Friday, Sept. 6, with a peak a temperature predicted for Thursday.
Forecasters are warning about fire conditions including high heat, increased easterly winds and lower humidity in the mountains on Thursday.
Warm weather is going to be worse just south of western Whatcom County overall and into the weekend. Thursday is forecasted for a high of 88 degrees in Lynden and 84 degrees in Bellingham.
Lower temperatures are going to be moderate, hovering around 60 degrees later this week into the weekend in western Whatcom County.
