BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – If you’re looking to stock up on fireworks, Friday, June 28 marks the first day of legalized sales in our state.

Washington’s Fire Marshal’s Office announced the sale of fireworks will be legal from now through July 5, after which the next opportunity to purchase the celebratory explosives won’t come until Dec. 27.

The office also warned about the inherent dangers from fireworks and urges anyone planning to use them to check with local law enforcement for restrictions or bans that may apply to their location.

Fireworks are outlawed within Bellingham city limits but will be permitted in unincorporated Whatcom County even with the burn ban going into effect July 1.
