Friday, Jan. 31 is Laughs at Larrabee Comedy Night at Larrabee Lager Company in Bellingham. Starring local comedy favorite Matt Benoit and featuring a handful of the hottest comedians in the Pacific Northwest, it is sure to be a hilarious night of great food, tasty beer and plenty of laughs.

Larrabee Lager is located in the Cordata neighborhood and serves award-winning beer, delicious pizza and more in a casual setting. Larrabee was even named the Small Brewery of the Year at last year’s Washington Beer Awards.

If you are looking for something cozy to do downtown, look no further than the Whatcom Museum. The Exquisite Veil, a show featuring the works of renowned artist Alfredo Arreguín, is currently on display at the Old City Hall building.

Born in Morelia, Mexico, Arreguín immigrated to Seattle and served in the Korean War before getting his MFA at the University of Washington. His works explore the beauty of the flora and fauna of Mexico and the Pacific Northwest.

The Exquisite Veil is presented in both English and Spanish and runs through July 6. Find all the details at whatcommuseum.org.

If you are an aspiring artist and live in Lynden, the Jansen Art Center offers workshops in a cozy setting. Teens and adults (13+) can attend Sharing Things with Zines and learn how to create tiny poetry books, short stories, illustrations and more. Aspiring painters will not want to miss Watercolor Starry Night (Adults 16+), where you will learn watercolor and gouache techniques while you recreate Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic masterpiece.

If you are crafty and looking to cozy up at a nice spot in Ferndale, Community Crafting Day runs Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at FrinGe Brewing. Relax and explore your creative side with fellow knitters, painters and crafters of all makes and models.

If you swing by FrinGe Brewing in Ferndale for Community Crafting Day, you can grab some delicious food from the WTF: Where’s the Food? food truck.

Our featured live show this weekend is an all-ages event at the Blue Room in Bellingham. Seattle’s Waltzerr will grace the stage on Saturday with their brand of indie pop rock. Fans of Courtney Barnett, HAIM, Paramore and Taylor Swift do not want to miss this one.
