Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Jayhawks, Sixpence None the Richer – Thursday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m.
On Thursday, July 24, a triple bill with three legendary bands will hit the stage at the theatre. Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Jayhawks, and Sixpence None the Richer are coming for one night only for the Good Intentions Tour! The three bands are bringing their signature sound to audiences across the country, including a stop in Bellingham, Washington.
It’s peak berry season and that means it is time for the 2025 Northwest Raspberry Festival in Lynden. The celebration kicks off on Friday, July 18 at 9 a.m. with the Curt Maberry Memorial Basketball Tournament. This three-on-three tourney runs for two days and features athletes from around the Pacific Northwest going head-to-head to see who’s the best ballers of them all.
Also on Friday, there will be a Kids Scavenger Hunt organized by Village Books, a Berry Fair Street Fair, Raspberry farm tours, a beer garden, a BBQ and live music. It truly is a celebration of everything that’s great about Lynden.
On Saturday, July 19, the Raspberry Festival continues with a raspberry pancake breakfast, the Razz and Shine Classic Car and Truck show, a wine tasting and more live music. Saturday will also feature the finals of the Curt Maberry basketball tournament. For all the details, go to lynden.org.
A little down the road you can support members of the local LGBTQIA+ community with the inaugural Ferndale PRIDE Weekend.
Saturday will feature workshops on gender, supporting trans youth and an Allyship 101 class. The day wraps up at FrinGe Brewing (5640 3rd Ave) with crafting, face painting and PRIDE Trivia. On Sunday, July 20, Ferndale PRIDE Weekend continues with PRIDE in the Park at Pioneer Pavilion. There attendees will find resources from LGBTQIA+ organizations, a book mobile, more crafting and more.

A little further down the road, at the 17th annual Sunnyland Stomp, it’s sure to be a banner year for lovers of art, music and chickens.
It all starts off at Memorial Park in Bellingham at noon on Saturday with the Chicken Race. If you think your chicken has what it takes to compete, show up at 11 a.m. to register for the race. If you don’t have a chicken, show up and cheer them on.

After the Chicken Race, attendees can mosey through the Sunnyland neighborhood and check out live music, art and more at various homes, businesses, restaurants and breweries. There will also be yard games aplenty. For all the details, go to sunnylandstomp.com.

Then on Saturday, Jackie Venson will bring her brand of contemporary blues rock to the stage for an all-ages show at Blue Room. Described as “an Austin legend in the making,” Venson has played with Alanis Morissette and Lainey Wilson and shared the stage with the likes of Gary Clark Jr and Melissa Etheridge.
