LUMMI ISLAND, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An offer has been accepted for a major Lummi Island property for Lighthouse Mission.

Lighthouse Mission Ministries President and CEO Hans Erchinger-Davis said that a prospective buyer made the offer for the entirety of the former Willows Inn property. The buyers identity will not be disclosed until the sale is finalized, although it has been announced that the buyer bought both the 2579 W. Shore Drive and 2560 W. Shore Drive properties which were listed separately.

Last month, Lighthouse Mission relisted the property through the Muljat Group for over $2.2 million.

It was initially put on the market in April 2023 after its previous owners donated the property to the local non-profit. The sale of the land will go towards the costs of Lighthouse’s new five-story facility, which is expected to open on W. Holly Street this fall.

Erchinger-Davis said Lighthouse needs to raise $2 million more by October to complete funding for the facility.
