LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Travelers in Lynden should prepare for extra travel time in the near future.

WSDOT said that construction on a new roundabout at the intersection of E Badger (SR 546) and Benson Roads will begin on Thursday, June 18.

Travelers will initially adhere to single-lane, alternating traffic through the intersection before it completely closes on June 21.

The intersection will remain closed through June 27, but the project won’t be complete until early July.

WSDOT is advising travelers to use the Guide Meridian, E Pole Road and Highway 9 as detour routes.
