WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – There’s plenty going on around Whatcom County for Memorial Day this weekend.

It starts off on Saturday with the annual Whatcom Memorial Day Parade in Bellingham. The parade runs from noon to 3 p.m. and starts at the corner of Alabama and Cornwall before continuing south along Cornwall.

After that, American Legion Post 7 is hosting three events in Bellingham on Memorial Day.

The first takes place at Memorial Park, starting with the Bellingham Community Band at 8:30 a.m. before the ceremony at 9 a.m. They’ll repeat that event at Bayview Cemetery at 11 a.m., followed by a chowder and chili lunch at Post 7 at 12:45 p.m.

Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale will host their annual Avenue of Flags ceremony on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Greenwood Cemetery will also host its annual Memorial Day ceremony in Lynden.
